    Editorial Standards

Welcome to TimeBlasts, where history hits different. Our mission is to breathe life into the past — turning pivotal events, overlooked stories, and forgotten voices into powerful, short-form animated narratives. Our content is built on a foundation of rigorous research, artistic integrity, and emotional resonance.

Here’s what guides everything we create:

    Historical Accuracy, Dramatically Told

Every TimeBlast starts with the facts. We consult reputable sources, double-check historical details, and work closely with historians and researchers to ensure accuracy. When creative choices are made to simplify or dramatize, we make those distinctions clear — never rewriting history for effect.

    Emotional Truth, Not Manipulation

Our goal is to make history felt — not distorted. Through music, voice, and animation, we aim to stir emotion, but never at the expense of truth. We highlight the human experience in history: the struggles, triumphs, ironies, and turning points that connect across time.

    Depth Beyond the Blast

Our videos are only the beginning. Every story is paired with a detailed, well-sourced article on TimeBlasts.com, offering context, analysis, and additional links for those who want to dig deeper. Whether you’re watching on TikTok or reading on the website, you’ll always find substance behind the style.

    Independence and Responsibility

We are editorially independent and uncompromising in our pursuit of truth. Our storytelling is guided by historical integrity, not ideology, hype, or sponsorships. We acknowledge complexity, embrace nuance, and avoid propaganda, oversimplification, or glorification.

    Respectful and Ethical Storytelling

We handle sensitive topics — wars, revolutions, oppression, resistance — with care. Our team adheres to ethical standards in representing cultures, identities, and traumatic histories, always prioritizing dignity, accuracy, and consent when applicable.

    Inclusive Perspectives

History is not one story. TimeBlasts is committed to showcasing a wide spectrum of voices — from unsung heroes to marginalized communities — across cultures, continents, and eras. Our content seeks to rebalance historical attention, not just retell what’s already known.

    Creative Innovation

We push the boundaries of historical storytelling. From kinetic typography to rotoscope animation to dramatic sound design, we experiment boldly with visual and narrative techniques — not for flash, but to reawaken the past with impact and immediacy.

    Audience Connection and Community

TimeBlasts is for thinkers, dreamers, and curious minds. We value your reactions, questions, and critiques. Your feedback helps us grow — and keeps our content honest, relevant, and alive. Whether you’re a casual viewer or a dedicated history buff, your voice shapes what we explore next.

    Corrections and Clarifications

If we make a mistake, we’ll own it. We update our articles and videos when factual inaccuracies are discovered and provide clear notes when changes are made. Transparency is part of the storytelling process.

Ever wonder how the microwave oven came to be? Get ready for one of the most unexpected (and delicious) invention stories in history!

In 1945, engineer Percy Spencer was busy zapping a radar magnetron when he noticed something truly bizarre: the candy bar in his pocket was melting! Intrigued by this "delicious mistake," he decided to experiment.

First, he threw some popcorn by the tube – and watched it pop! Then, things got a little messy when an egg he placed there promptly exploded! That's when Percy had his incredible realization: these microwaves could cook food from the inside out.

His employer, Raytheon, quickly patented this revolutionary chance discovery in 1946, leading to the launch of the very first 'Radarange' in 1947.
Today, billions of people around the world heat their meals daily, all thanks to Percy's groundbreaking (and slightly messy) accidental genius!
